this is an emerging list of my favorite films of all time. it's in progress and not in order as i'm adding titles here as they come to me. upon sufficient compiling they'll be ordered. that said.....

When the Levees Break by Spike Lee

"....an essential, damning piece of work that has to be seen by anyone who wants to know the first thing about the disaster, also uses the signs of flood damage as a backdrop to the film’s title; there the colors are mostly red and black, invoking blood and death."
